In my work as a Recruiter I have interviewed a lot of applicants on the kind of job they want and a number of them have said “any kind of job”.

When a job seeker tells me, “any kind of job” …I cringe and then try to find out exactly what they are interested in etc. some of my clients still insist that their CVs should be written to fit “any kind of job” and as a fresh graduate that may be okay. If you have never learnt anything on this page, learn this…”Specificity gets interviews” especially if you are an experienced hire, broad CVs are no good, a CV that tries to be everything will stand for nothing at the end of the day. A Recruiter/ Hiring Manager’s job is to find talents that want jobs not be a career coach, I understand that sometimes when you have searched for a job for so long, you just want any type of job but it is possible to have a specific CV for each role you are interested in, stop sending “a one size fits all ” CV.

In my work as a professional CV Writer I have interviewed a lot of clients on the kind of job they want and a number of them have said “any kind of job”.
